History
History offers opportunities for pupils to:
Learn how the past influences the present.
Understand more about themselves as individuals and as members of society.
Use evidence/research.
Argue a point of view and look for bias.
The subject is taught by a variety of methods to allow for different types of learners: aural, visual and practical.
The History department has built up a large collection of artefacts, period costumes, videos/DVDs, books, ICT programs etc., which make the learning of History both fun and accessible for all pupils.
